The position of the parador is excellent, right in the middle of the historic centre.Furnishings and decor is excellent, the room and bathroom we had was very large. Food was good but not up to standard of the hotel.
It is a very gorgeous hotel. And we can enjoy good view from the hotel.
The price is expensive.
The Parador de Arcos de la Frontera was delightful. We enjoyed the charming location and the great ambiance. The courtyard was beautiful and a great place to linger. We didn't want to leave!
It is hard to describe this property with words unless you are a poet! This is the most beautifully located hotel that I have ever seen. I was able to upgrade to a room with a view that was beyond description. The staff at this hotel was wonderful. The food was fantastic. The room was spacious by any standard. If you go to Andalusia do not miss Arcos de la Frontera and make sure you stay at the Parador. There is a reason that this town is one of the 1,000 places to see before you die.
We found the receptionist extremely friendly and helpful giving us directions to the hotel for our car. The hotel had a beautiful location in a historic square. It was beautifully decorated and had a wonderful restraurant and terrace overlooking the plains
The location was excellent as right in the centre of town. More advice about the car parking in advance would be helpful, as if you managed to find a space in the town square car park in front of the hotel and then notified the hotel, they would give you a ticket to cover your stay - free of charge !
Beatiful scenary and surrounding areas
Location is unique with typically excellent service and food as in all Paradores.
Need a car to take of its location and that of Arcos de la Frontera. However, the streets are very, very narrow to get all the way up to the Parador so a car wider than say Golf will not make it! (One can park in the town and walk up!)
The parador is in an excellent location with fantastic views. The building itself is beautiful and the rooms are very large and comfortable. You can walk all over this small town without any need for a car.
If you arrive by car, parking at the parador is difficult. The restaurant prices are much higher than local restaurants,
Elagant ans romantic.
access was difficult and parking was a challenge.
Excellent room, great location, fantastic food and service
Parking is a issue and you need to plan ahead and be Ok about negotiationg narrow shtreets
The streets are very narrow so driving can be difficult, also parking at the parador is very limited.
Beatiful views. Good atmosphere I the old town. Exiting driving to and from the Paradore.
Poor parking facilities. The Paradore should have dedicated parking at the Plaza.
The hotel was beautiful. It has a wonderful deck with a great view of the valley below. The room was large and clean. The bathroom was well stocked with sundries. The location was great for walking around the city.
The parking was terrible. Parking near the hotel is not available unless you get extremely lucky. Parking is about a 15/20 min. walk down the hill. Our room overlooked the parking lot so in the morning when all the tour buses arrived and in the evening when people are milling about, the noise was very loud. And the view of the parking lot is most unappealing. If you stay here, only stay in a room overlooking the valley. The town is very small and it really does not need a stop over when traveling in Spain. Instead I suggest coming for a few hours at the most. If you want to stay in a hill town, go to Ronda and stay there.
Location - stunning views from terrace. Elegant and interesting interior, including distinctive artistic tile work of the region.
The food was not really up to the standard we would expect from a Spanish parador. We should have been warned in advance of the difficulty of finding parking near the hotel and provided with information re the location of more distant parking and appropriate public transport.
